Priscilla J. Laabs

Priscilla Jean Laabs, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Marshfield Medical Center.

Priscilla was born on June 15, 1944, the daughter of Carol and Merle Burshnell of Owen, WI. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Marlyn on August 18, 1962, and was happily married for 62 years.

Priscilla is survived by her husband, Marlyn Laabs; brother, Brian (Betty) Bushnell of Rothschild; daughters, Debbie Laabs-Ethington (Rich) of Weston, Dana Lancioni of Northbrook, IL, and Dianna (David) Witt of Port Edwards; her grandchildren, Matthew (Heidi) Spindler, Preston (Stephanie) Witt, McKenna Witt, Sarah Lancioni, Jeff (Megan) Lancioni, Elizabeth Lancioni; and a great-grandmother to five children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol and Merle Bushnell; sister, Mavis DuBrava; and brother, Dwayne Bushnell.

Priscilla attended Owen-Withee High School, graduating in 1962. Shortly after graduation, she married Marlyn Laabs. She overcame tremendous obstacles of raising 3 daughters after suffering a spinal cord injury as a result of a car accident leaving her paralyzed from the waist down with her daughters ages 5, 3, and 1. This never held her back as she was a devoted wife, mother, and small business owner. She was the owner of P&M Monogramming, serving the greater Marshfield area for 32 years. She loved and enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and sewing, and happily made baby blankets for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Our family would like to extend a deep appreciation to the Marshfield Medical Center, the staff of the Marshfield Medical Center, and everyone who has provided care for Priscilla these last few months. As a family, we will forever be grateful for the support and kindness shown.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the Eagles Club, 1104 S. Oak Ave. Marshfield, WI 54449. Visitation will begin at 11:00 – 1:00, Ceremony at 1:00 following a luncheon.
