Rachel Derge, age 88, of Marshfield, Wisconsin, passed away on July 3, 2022. Visitation will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 E. Veterans Parkway, Marshfield, WI, on July 22, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
Rachel was born July 29th, 1933, the daughter of Joseph and Maurine (Plambeck) Kraemer in Marshfield, WI. She graduated high school in 1952. On October 15, 1955, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Richard (Dick) Derge, Sr.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Christian Mother’s Society.
In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidering quilts, refinishing furniture, baking bread and cookies, and spending time with family. She worked as a waitress at Charolais supper club and in the office at Weyerhaeuser.
Rachel is survived by children, Richard Jr, David, Laura (Scott) Bliven, Maureen McHugh, and Allan; siblings, Mike (Earl) (Melody) Kraemer; in-laws, Mary Johnson, Sharon and Joe Derge, and Marie (Ray deceased) Kraemer; grandchildren, Kimberly, Daniel, Ashley (Brett), Brenton, Kaitlyn, Casey, Morgan; and great-grandchild, Kaydence.
Rachel is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Maurine Kraemer; as well as siblings: Kenneth (Elaine) Kraemer, John (Marilyn) Kraemer, Wayne (Leona) Kraemer, David (Betty) Kraemer, Robert (Rosemary) Kraemer, Monica (Mickey) (Ronnie) Guldan, Betty (Raymond) Kreick, Raymond (Marie living) Kraemer, Donna (Edward) Kaul, and Patricia (Jim) Peters; in-laws, Eugene (Patricia) Newcomb, Carol Derge, and John (Carol) Derge.
Serenity Living, “A Touch of Home” and Heartland Hospice made a difference, were compassionate, dedicated, and made our mother comfortable & happy. Their employees are truly great caregivers.
