Rachel Ruth Seefeldt, 83, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Marshfield Hospice Care. She will be remembered fondly by her family and friends. A visitation and service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Tuesday, December 10th. The visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until the service starts at 11:00 AM.
Rachel was born on September 13, 1941, to Arthur and Ermine (Arendt) Woltmann. She graduated from Marshfield High School and, during her grade school years, worked at a nearby cheese factory doing secretarial duties. It was there that Rachel's journey began, eventually leading her to work at the first Fleet Farm, where she met Roger, the love of her life. They wed in September 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Rachel and Roger moved to a farm in Scandinavia, where Rachel became deeply involved in farm life, including milking cows. After 18 fulfilling years on the farm, the couple sold the farm and moved to Marshfield. Rachel's career took a turn toward truck driving when she started working for Roehl Transport, where she developed a lifelong passion for driving. After seven years with Roehl, she continued her career with Fischer, where she and Roger spent the next 30 years driving to California once a week. Rachel retired at the age of 80, having dedicated much of her life to the trucking industry.
In her free time, Rachel enjoyed camping, often visiting Boulder Junction.
She is survived by her husband, Roger; son, Dale Seefeldt; brothers, Paul Woltmann and David Woltmann; and her beloved dog, Cindy. Rachel was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Wasrud, and daughter, Kari David.
Rachel will be greatly missed by all who knew her, remembered for her dedication, love, and joyfulness.
