Randy W Ress

Randy Ress, age 67, of Spencer, WI, passed away suddenly August 24, 2022 at his home in Spencer. A Memorial Service will be held 3 pm, Thursday, Sept. 1st at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield. Visitation will be held on Sept. 1st 2022, at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 2:50 PM followed by the Nurses Honor Guard Ceremony.

Randy was born December 16th, 1954 the son of William Ress and Betty (Hamus) Ress in Marshfield. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1973.  Randy was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years and worked at Madison University Hospital where he had many friends and patients who loved him and his witty personality.  Randy was a caretaker at heart and enjoyed his work with people.  Randy also enjoyed working his farm where he had built a log cabin home and had many animals.  The most loved and precious to Randy were his 2 “girls”, Tia and Lucky.  They were his world and family in his home.

In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his Sister Connie, Brother-in-law John and Niece Kayelynn that included decorating his home, spending holidays together and just enjoy being together when they could.  He also spent time with his Brother Dean going to festivals and having beers and fun together. He especially enjoyed dancing whenever he could.  Randy was always the life of the party.  Those that knew Randy best will miss his giving heart, laughter, sense of humor and his love of animals.

Randy is lovingly survived by his Sister: Connie (John) Clyde of Illinois, Brothers Dean Ress of Stratford, Allan (Brenda) Ress of Spencer, Dogs Tia & Lucky and his special niece Kayelynn Hansen of Illinois.  Other siblings: Robin (Roger) Eilers of Lindsey, Susan Huber, Chad Ress, Cory (Josephine) Ress all of Spencer as well as many nieces and nephews.  He is further survived by his Mother Betty Ress of Spencer. He will truly be missed by his family that loved him dearly.

Randy is preceded in death by his Father William Ress Sr.; as well as siblings: Tammy Ress, Willy (William) Ress Jr., brother-in-law: Jim Huber; Grandparents: Henry and Viola Ress, William and Lillian Ress.
