Ray Bernhard Seefeldt, age 91 of Marshfield passed away September 22 2023 at Stoney River Memory Care. A funeral service will be held on Tues Sept. 26th at 11:00 am at Christ Lutheran Church. Burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, WI. Visitation will be held at Hansen/Schilling funeral home Mon 9/25 from 6:00pm- 8:00pm, and on Tues 10:00 -11:00 at the church.
Ray was born June 20th 1932 in Marshfield, WI. the son of Bernhard & Elsie Seefeldt. Ray attended and graduated from Marshfield High School in 1949. Ray served in the Army during the Korean war from 1952 to 1954, after returning to the US, Ray work as a mechanic for Kline Truck Service before purchasing his farm on Eagle Rd in Marshfield, WI. On Sept 21 1957 he married the love of his life, Patricia Jane Erickson at First Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, WI (married 66 yrs).
Ray’s interests included modified tractor pulls, snowmobiling with the Bakerville Sno Rovers, designing, and building parade trains (one is at the Central Wisconsin Fairgrounds). Ray enjoyed music and playing the saxophone in the Marshfield Civic Band and with the Russ Nelson Orchestra.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Patricia, children Gary (Cyndi) Seefeldt and Jane (Randy) Tischendorf as well as grandchildren Scott (Becky) Tischendorf, Brittany (Jason) Olson, Josh (Elena) Seefeldt, Stacey (Jon) Potterson, 11 great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and brother Roger (Rachel) Seefeldt.
Ray is proceeded in death by his parents and brother Herb Seefeldt.
