Rene' L. Burrows

Rene' L. Burrows, age 50, passed away early afternoon on October 6, 2025, at Marshfield Hospital under hospice care after a courageous battle with cancer.

Rene' was born March 4, 1975, the daughter of Gregory and Marvis R. (Schmidt) Burrows in Merrill. She married Greg Billman on February 11, 2004. Rene' enjoyed camping, cook outs, backyard fires, spending time with friends and family but most importantly she loved her daughter Kayla and provided unwavering support in all activities. Those that knew Rene' best will miss her witty and blunt humor, her kindness, and her love for bloody marys while watching packer games. She was known by many as aunt naenae to all that were like family to her.

Rene' is lovingly survived by her former husband Greg Billman, Merrill; daughter Kayla Billman (Calvin Christensen) Marshfield; 2 sisters Jaimie (Ryan) Hoeft Merrill and Carrie (Mike) Lawrence, Neenah; nephews Justin (Libby) Merrill; Riley (Ashlynn) Merrill along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Rene' is preceded in death by her parents Gregory S. Burrows, Marvis R. Burrows and brother Matthew S. Burrows; grandparents Stuart "Sam" and Mildred "Millie" Burrows all of Merrill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Rene’s name. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Marshfield Clinic who took special care of her in her final days.
