Richard Dischinger

Richard (Dick) R. Dischinger Sr. passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

The memorial service will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy. in Marshfield) with Deacon Ray Draeger officiating. Visitation for friends and family will be from 9:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. followed by the service.

He was born March 2, 1937. He attended Marshfield Schools. Richard married the love of his life Nancy Dohm on September 20, 1958, at Corpus Christi Parish in Bakerville. Dick and Nancy raised their 5 children in Lindsey. Dick retired in 1997 from 21st Century Genetics. During retirement Dick enjoyed many hobbies. He liked gardening and canning, making jam and his famous tomato juice. Dick spent many hours taking care of the pond and yard using his machinery. Dick made beautiful oak furniture and other projects for his children and grandchildren in his workshop from his own wood. Dick was happiest at family gatherings especially his birthday. Dick and Nancy hosted Christmas eve for their family for 62 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy, children Debbie Peterson, Rick (Cindy) Dischinger, Steve (Michelle) Dischinger, Carla (Don) Rottscheit, and Kevin (Erin) Dischinger; 11 grandchildren Jenny Nowak, Terri Hansen, Danny Peterson, Deanna Willman, Jessica Franklin, Lindsey Rasmussen, Stephanie Dischinger, Brittany Klauka, Becky Rottscheit, Cassie Rogers, and Rhiannon Dischinger; 25 great-grandchildren; sister Loretta Mau and his beloved dog Angel.

He is preceded in death by his son-in-law Scott Peterson, parents Frank and Anna Dischinger and four siblings.
