Richard “Rich” Hainzlsperger Obituary

Richard “Rich” Hainzlsperger age 66 of Spencer, entered into his eternal life, February 2, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. 

Rich was born Wednesday June 22, 1955 in Marshfield to Ervin and Mary Hainzlsperger of Unity. He graduated from Colby High School where he excelled in multiple sports, which included football, wrestling and boxing. Two major achievements were being a channel 7 all-star and a golden glove boxer. He continued his love for sports after graduation and also helping coach his kids through different sports.

Rich loved living in the country with his wife Jan where he enjoyed nature, gardening, working on special projects with his son Jake and spending time with his beloved dog Vettrin. Fishing and weekly sign-ups to visit with friends was a full-time passion. He also enjoyed his extensive career in concrete work which he wished to be doing until the very end.

Rich is survived by his wife Janice “Jan” of 21 years and his son Jacob “Jake” (Britni) Hainzlsperger of Medford, daughters Kelly Weiler of Medford and Kara Jeske of Colby, son Kory, step-sons Gordon “Gordy” (Mindy) Gaebel of Indiana and William “Bill” Gaebel of Edgar, Brother Ervin (Tonya) Hainzlsperger Jr of Shell Lake, Sisters Stella Phillips (Jim Weigel) of Marshfield, Mary Jane (Bill) Selves of Neillsville, Sue (Dave) Roth of Tomahawk, and Ellen (John) Foley of Wisconsin Rapids, along with many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other family members, in-laws and friends.

Rich was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and sister Becky Weiler and infant sister Theresa.

Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Grandpa, and most importantly friend. You are and will be deeply missed by many. This is not goodbye, but till we meet again.

A formal funeral service is not planned but a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
