Roberta A. Johansson

Roberta A. Johansson, age 87 of Marshfield, passed away early Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at House of the Dove in Marshfield.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church in Marshfield with visitation from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.

Roberta was born May 31,1935 to Nils and Ottillie (Bielan) Swanson in Chicago, IL. She met Yngve Johansson at Svenska Gillet, a Swedish newcomers party and they were united in marriage on June 5, 1954. She worked 15 years as a transcriptionist at Marshfield Medical Center until her retirement.

Roberta enjoyed camping in Chetek with Yngve, taking their travel home along the coast. She also enjoyed knitting, sewing, and spending time with her church family. She was a member of Ladies of Grace and a proud member of the Sons of Norway.

Roberta is survived by her children: David (Gini) Johansson of Fernwood, ID, Rolf (Cheryl) Johansson of Charlotte, NC, Curtis (Debbie) Johansson of Chili, WI, Randy (Lisa) Johansson of Coon Rapids, MN, Christopher (Jenny) Johansson of Waupaca, WI, Barbara (Dean) Hetzel of Granton, WI, Nils (Lara) Johansson of Columbus; twin brother Robert (Elaine) Swanson of Chicago, IL; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and brothers in law: Hugo and Allen (Irene) Johansson.

Roberta is preceded in death by her husband Yngve and her parents Nils and Ottillie Swanson. Those wiShing to express their sympathy are encouraged to do so on the website.
