Ronald Roy Machtan

Ronald Roy Machtan, age 84, of Marshfield, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday, February 19, 2023, in Marshfield. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 27, 2023, at the Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.  Stratford Memorial VFW Post #6352 will conduct Military Honors at the funeral home after the service.

Ronald was born February 4, 1939, the son of Harold and Edna Machtan in Marshfield, Wisconsin. Ron proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 to 1961. After his service he returned to Marshfield and took a job at Felker Brothers Corporation, where he worked for over 38 years. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Szymanski. Ron was an avid outdoorsman and for years enjoyed raising pheasants.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, son, granddaughter, and future grandson-in-law.  He is further survived by five brothers and their families. He will truly be missed.
