Rose A. Porter, age 78, of Vesper, WI, died May 19, 2025. She was born (Rose Bednarczyk) on Nov. 21, 1946, in Plover, WI. She married William (Bill) D. Porter Sr. on March 5th 1966.
Together they ran their business from an appliance store, Wildlife Unlimited game farm, Rosie’s Cantina, and Wildlife Videos. Rose wore many hats in their business ventures as Business Manager, accounting, camera operator, receptionist, and sales.
In her younger years, she enjoyed gardening, dance, golf, and visiting with family and friends. She loved animals, enjoyed watching the Packers and sports with her husband, Bill.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; four brothers, Anthony Bednarczyk of Stevens Point, Tom Bednarczyk of Eau Claire, Pete Bednarczyk of Davenport, Iowa, Lenny Bednarczyk of Rhinelander; two sisters, Jenny Hoffmann of Stevens Point, Sandy Bedar and Ron Omernick of Wausau. Plus, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces-and-nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Martha Bednarczyk; sister, Marcia Pitcher, and their two sons, Paul and John Porter.
Funeral Arrangements: Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy. Marshfield WI). Service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025; visitation at 12:00 p.m. Chaplain Randy VanDeLoo will officiate the service. Burial will take place at Arpin Cemetery.
