Rosemary (Nehring) Peterson

Rosemary Peterson, age 78, of Marshfield, passed away on November 11, 2021 at the Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church (1208 W 14th St) in Marshfield.  Pastor Andrew Belt will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, November 22, 2021 at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home (1010 E Veterans Parkway) in Marshfield and again from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will take place at the Hillside Cemetery in Marshfield.

Rosemary was born November 26, 1942 in the Town of Siegel to Walter and Verna Nehring. She attended St. John’s Catholic School. On September 19, 1959, Rosemary was united in marriage to the love of her life, Garry Peterson, at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshfield. Rosemary love of taking care of people was shown in here working for the Marshfield Convalescent Center for 30 years and subsequently doing home care for elderly.  Rosemary was skilled at embroidery, completing colorful pillowcases and towels which she gave to family and friends. She enjoyed camping with her family and traveling with Garry throughout the United States. Rosemary was known for her warm smile, caring nature, and love of family. 

She is survived by her sons: Allen “Al” and Brian. Rosemary was predeceased by her husband, parents, in-laws: Peter and Adeline Peterson, and brother: Jim Nehring.
