She will be laid to rest on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in Little Sister Cemetery, in the Town of Liberty Grove, (Door County) WI.
Signe was the second child born to Arthur and Amy Anderson on May 2, 1920. Her parents preceded her in death as also did her brother, Conwell and her stepmother Ellen and sister, Audrey. Signe is survived by loving nieces and nephews. Signe was led by her mother to trust the Lord as her Savior at the early age of 6. The desire of her entire life was to see others come to know Jesus as their Savior too.
Signe graduated from Gibraltar High School in 1938. After high school she spent several years working in Chicago. Then when her brother Conwell joined the navy and went to serve our country in World War II Signe went home and helped with the farm work until her father went to be with the Lord in 1951.
In 1952 Signe traveled with a group from Baptist General Conference called “God’s Invasion Army.” They did visitation work and held children’s meetings in the afternoon and services for everyone in the evening.
Then in 1953 the Lord called her to the home missionary work of Rural Bible Crusade, a Bible memory program for boys and girls. They also held Daily Vacation Bible Schools throughout Wisconsin in the summertime. The headquarters of RBC were in Marshfield WI. She lived and worked with Mae Heller, the then director of RBC. After 8 years of retirement, Mae went to be with the Lord in 2004. Signe has continued to be in contact with that work helping with their mailout every month and serving on the RBC board.
In lieu of flowers it was Signe’s desire that memorial gifts be given to Rural Bible Crusade. P.O. Box 635 Marshfield, WI 54449
