Simone Lynn (Ponshock) Paul

On Wednesday, November 17, 2021, Simone Lynn Paul (Ponshock) —a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend— passed away at the age of 33.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Auburndale, WI with Fr. Murali Anand Rayappan officiating. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home and from 10:00 am on Thursday until service time at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A rosary service will be held at 4:30 pm on Thursday at the funeral home.

            Simone was born on July 10, 1988, in Marshfield, to Shari (Bohman) and Steve Ponshock and attended Auburndale High School. She was married to Travis M. Paul on May 6, 2011, at Riverside Park in La Crosse, WI. Simone was a loving mother who enjoyed bringing life and happiness wherever she went. She never failed to make people smile and laugh. She loved to go four-wheeling, cook delicious meals, eat endless sushi, spend time with her son Braxton, and spend quality time with family and friends. Simone would always come prepared with hilarious face mask drink coasters to have people place on their nose and get a good chuckle. At events, she liked to sneak random objects into her aunt’s purses and giggle as she did it. Simone was the best aunt to her little fur-nephew Brady. Her bubbly, caring personality will be missed by many.

            Simone is survived by her husband, Travis; son, Braxton; father, Steve Ponshock; and brother/sister-in-law, Garitt (Jenna) Ponshock of Auburndale. She is also survived by her grandmother, Mary Bohman Pongratz of Hewitt and her aunts/uncles: Judy (Allen) Lang of Medford; Pat (Tom) Binder of Marshfield; Rose (Mitch) Maguire of Mosinee; Bev (Tom) Ott of Marshfield; Connie Zorman of Hewitt; Linda (Lee) Brumbaugh of Marshfield; Jacky (Tom) Altman of Marshfield; Dave Bohman of Stratford; Russell (Erma) Ponshock of Milladore; Angela (Mike) Hug of Sun City West, AZ; Anne (Bob) Thomas of Arpin; Vernon Ponshock of Wis. Rapids; Fred (Darlene) Ponshock of Auburndale; Pat (Tanya) Ponshock of Auburndale; Sarah (Randy) Teresinski of Granton; Mark Ponshock (Miss Brenda) of Auburndale; Laurel Dalle Ave of Ashland; Aaron (Deb) Ponshock of Marshfield; and Clare (Jim) Ladick of Vesper. She is further survived by many cousins and friends.

            She was preceded in death by her mother, Shari Ponshock; grandpa, Peter Bohman; her step-grandfather, Norbert Pongratz; an aunt, Jean Bohman; uncles, Dale Bohman, Jim Schiferl, and Rick Zorman; grandpa, Clarence Ponshock; step-grandfather, John Janzen; grandma, Rose Ponshock-Janzen and a cousin, Tyson Maguire.
