Susan Maria (Dahlin) Riedel

Susan Maria Riedel, age 57, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Saturday, October 1, 2022 after a long valiant battle with MS.

Susan was born on January 12, 1965 in the city of Ishpeming, Michigan and raised in Escanaba, Michigan.  Susan had an idealic childhood living just two blocks from the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan. In the 1980’s Susan worked at Dobbers Pastie shop in Escanaba following a family tradition as Susan’s mother grew up working in the family business of Daoust’s Pastie shop in Hurley, Wisconsin. Susan was a 1983 graduate of Escanaba High School. Susan loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and her animals especially her dogs and cats. Susan loved spending time holding hands with her husband and watching the Milwaukee Brewer games together.

Despite the difficulties over the years due to MS, she never gave up and never stopped fighting. She had a beautiful indomitable spirit! She will be sorely missed and always loved!

Susan is survived by her husband Scott Riedel, 8 children including Jordan, Jacob, Joshua, Jeremy and Jonathan Kulke. Alyssa, Ian and Leah Claremont. Susan also had two Grandchildren Henry Kulke and Victoria Kulke. In addition, Susan is survived by her brother Greg Dahlin, her father-in-law Norbert Riedel and previous husband, later divorced Michael Claremont. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Mary Margaret Dahlin of Escanaba, Michigan also by a previous husband, later divorced Duane Kulke.

Funeral services for Susan will be held at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home, 1010 East Veterans Parkway, Marshfield, on Friday, October 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mark Krueger officiating. Burial will take place in Brooklawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday.
