Susan Steffek

Susan Katherine Steffek, age 66 of Marshfield, WI, passed away peacefully by the grace of God Thursday, September 9th, 2021, in Marshfield with her husband and sons by her side. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 6th, 2021, at Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield, WI (1010 E. Veterans Pkwy). Visitation starting 10:00AM with service to follow at 11:00AM. Deacon Ray Draeger will officiate.

Susan was born January 16th, 1955, the daughter of William and Doris (Benish) Buening in Prairie du Chien, WI. She was a graduate of Viterbo College with a BA in early childhood education and inspired 2nd and 3rd grade students for the Marshfield Area Catholic School System (O.L.P. and St. John’s) for over 30 years. Susan enjoyed so much out of life including fishing, playing Euchre, and her Green Bay Packers; however, loving and caring for her family, friends and dog “Rocky” is what she adored the most. She truly was a loving mother and inspiring person who touched the lives of everyone she met always making them feel comfortable and welcomed. 

Susan is lovingly survived by her husband: William; children: Bradley and Kyle; siblings: Billy, Sharon and Sandy. She will be truly missed.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, William and Doris.
